Gaming Sensation
So many great games are releasing, so many new games will be announced, and we have so little time to experience it all!
Yeah, we know… it's been a while. When we haven't posted articles, we've been busy with life and playing amazing action-adventure games such as Star Wars: Jedi Survivor and The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Jedi Survivor is like Respawn's version of Uncharted 2, with crazy fun, beautiful worlds to explore, and engaging gameplay. In Tears of the Kingdom, there is so much to do it can get overwhelming. Still, it's insanely beautiful and the most innovative game ever, focused on creativity with combat, solving puzzles, and traveling Hyrule. I doubt we'll finish those games anytime soon, but you'll see an article about it, however late it is. But I'm here to write about how excited I am for the games and events that will take over my life this summer!
Street Fighter 6
We're just a few days away from the most amazing accessible fighting game of this year! Street Fighter 6 will be a fun time, especially with how it went with us experiencing the closed/open beta and demo. I want to explore the wild and exciting Story Mode/World Tour and try to be an above-average Ken player while getting destroyed by a pro player. But the best part is that anyone can learn and play at their own pace. There's so much to say about it. I am glad all the reviews for Street Fighter 6 are so positive. Soon enough, we all can try it out when Street Fighter 6 releases on June 2nd on Xbox Series X|S, PS5, PS4, and PC.
Diablo 4
Literally, a few days after Street Fighter 6 or on the same day if you buy the ultimate edition, Diablo 4 is finally here, asking us to deliver them from evil. After playing the beta, it looks like we'll have a hell of a time, but with high fashion of course! The amount of loot and treasure we're going to find is going to be amazing. The only sin I'm going to have when I play this game is GREED. Diablo 4 is another game that has gotten such great reviews, so I am excited to see what more the game has to offer! Diablo 4 comes out on June 6 for Xbox series X|S, PS5, and PC or June 2 if you have the Ultimate edition, which gives you 4 days of early access and 20-tier skips in the battle pass.
Final Fantasy 16
The ultimate fantasy blockbuster is almost here: Final Fantasy 16! I've seen so many trailers, gameplays, and previews of this game that I'm not sure if I know too much or know nothing at all. I just want to play the game. Let me run around with Clive in this massive world with its fast-paced action. Let me experience this unique story with its inspiration from Game of Thrones. Square Enix apparently confirmed that a demo will be released soon where we play as young Clive, and our progress will carry over into the next game. Still, there's yet to be info on when it will be released. I assume they're going to show something during the Summer Game Fest. Final Fantasy 16 is so close yet so far away. It will release on June 22 on PS5.
The Hype of Summer Game Fest
Since the pandemic, Geoff Keighley has satisfied our hunger to see new games each year. It has always been a step up each time, so I can't wait to see what he has in store for us this year! I'm hyped, but like always, it's best to keep our expectations low. We know we want to see the new GTA, a preview of a new switch or console upgrade, or even a crazy too-good-to-be-true game like Phantom Blade 0 that was shown during the PlayStation event. But hey, in the end, it's all about the games, and I know we're still going to have an incredible experience seeing new gameplay and trailers of games of the future! Hopefully, there will be cool innovations, art styles, and more. Summer GamesFest is on Thursday, June 8th, at 3pm ET. You can watch it on Twitch or YouTube on TheGameAwards Channel.
