Who We Are

That’s me and my brother in the photo above. We’ve been gamers since day one—seriously. Our first system together was the Game Boy Advance SP, and even back then, I was a sore loser. But my brother? He was always the one introducing me to new games and genres, keeping the spark alive.

Everything changed with the GameCube. That console didn’t just entertain us—it defined how we play. From Super Smash Bros. Melee to Mario Kart: Double Dash!!, we played almost every single day, especially when our cousins were over. That era kicked off a lifelong love for gaming that only grew deeper with time.

Then came the Xbox 360 and our first real taste of online multiplayer with Gears of War 2. Playing Halo 3, Red Dead Redemption, and meeting friends (and plenty of wild characters) online opened up a whole new world. It wasn’t just about games anymore—it was about connection, stories, and memories.

So, Why a Blog?

We started this blog during the lockdown in 2020. Like a lot of people, we were looking for something that felt like us. We wanted to read more gaming content that reflected our experiences—games we grew up with, the random moments that stuck with us, the real feelings behind what we played. Then we realized… maybe we’re the ones who need to tell those stories.

Over the years, we’ve tried different formats—gaming news, reviews, think pieces. But the truth is: we’re not trying to be like the big gaming outlets. We’re not here to chase trends or break news. We’re just here to share what we love, how we feel, and why games matter to us.

The Platform Journey

We’ve bounced around a few platforms, always searching for the right home for our stories. After exploring different options, we’ve landed here on Substack. We love its focus on direct connection and community—it feels like the perfect place to build our little corner of the internet with you.

Why Subscribe?

  • Get personal stories, not just scores. We focus on the memories, the frustrations, and the feelings that games leave behind, long after the credits roll.

  • Join a real community. We read and value every comment. This is a space for actual conversation with us and other gamers who share the feeling.

  • An ad-free experience. No clickbait, no pop-ups. Just honest, heartfelt articles from two brothers, delivered straight to your inbox a few times a month.

This blog is our little corner of the internet. No ads. No hot takes for clicks. Just honest, personal reflections on games—old and new—from two brothers who grew up holding controllers and never really stopped.

Thanks for being here. We’re excited to share more with you!
